Return To Work SA
Central Psychology Services offers support to injured workers through Return to Work SA, whether they have experienced a physical or emotional injury.
We understand that the WorkCover process comes with it’s own set of difficulties: attending numerous appointment, complying with requirements, navigating a confusing system - all at the same time as you’re trying to get your life back.
We collectively have years of experience helping people recover from workplace injuries, though also support several organisations through the Employment Assistance Program. That means we have worked with even more people navigating workplace stresses and difficulties.
We’ve supported nurses, police officers, tradies, disability workers, cooks, miners, ambos - and other hardworking people across numerous industries.

The first port of call will be to speak to your GP and explain your situation and why you want to talk to someone. They can advocate for you receiving the service and send us a referral.
You may also wish to speak to your claims manager about how you wish to speak to a psychologist.
We understand the WorkCover process can be confusing and no one hands you an an instruction manual. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

If you’re referred under Workcover - no! If your claim has been approved, your appointments will be covered by the Return to Work SA insurance scheme.

Under the Return To Work SA scheme, all medical appointments are covered for three years following the date of the injury. This includes psychology appointments.

Yes! We recommend speaking to your GP and requesting a Mental Health Care Plan Referral. This will mean that Medicare will provide a rebate for up to 10 appointments per calendar year.
If you have private health, you can also speak to your fund and ask if they cover psychology appointments.
