Please read the following information in regards to rebates that may be available to you.
Private Health Insurance
Many private health providers provide rebates for psychological services. Please check with your health insurance provider for further details. If you are eligible for a rebate we can process your private health insurance claim through our HICAPS facility on the day of consult.
Medicare rebates are available to cover some of the cost of psychological treatments provided by Psychologists but a GP referral and Mental Health Care Plan is needed from your doctor prior to coming for an appointment.
When making an appointment with your GP book a long consultation so there is adequate time for you GP to prepare a Mental Health Care Plan with you. This will involve assessing your needs, selecting appropriate treatment options and making arrangements for your ongoing management. Any action that you need to take will be identified. The plan will be documented and your Doctor will either forward a copy of the plan to Central Psychology Services on your behalf or may give you a copy to bring to us when you attend your first appointment.
The current Medicare rebate for sessions with a Registered Psychologist is $88.25 and $129.55 for sessions with a Clinical Psychologist.
To receive these rebates we ask that you bring in your medicare or private health card on the day.
All fees are current to 01 July 2021.
